Scott King is an artist steeped in the timeless flow and classic traditions of country music. Raised in a musical environment from childhood, Scott grew up listening to Merle Haggard, George Strait, Hank JR. and all the legends of country music's past. Scott began playing music in his early teens, and his friends and family soon realized that he might be a very special talent, with an intuitive sense of interpretation and style. Scott developed the basis of what has become his trademark sound. It was however his move to Bakersfield, Ca. that really set his musical compass. There, he became a disciple of the "Bakersfield Sound" as exemplified by the likes of Buck Owens and Dwight Yoakam, among others.With these tools in hand Scott has shaped his style in every "Honky Tonk", Beer Joint, Casino and Night Club from coast to coast and finally cutting an original album "Let's get something straight between us" in July of 2009.
