I was born in Wichita Falls, Texas where I lived until I finished the sixth grade. I was ten years old when I learned to play the fiddle. Even though my dad loved music and could sing almost every song ever written, nobody in my immediate family played an instrument, but it still felt natural to make music. It was then that I moved forty miles away to the country where my interest soon changed. I jumped head first into the sport of bull riding. This also came natural to me and I had a lot of success at an early age. I put music on the back-burner. Long road trips, late nights, broken bones, and hospital stays didn’t prevent me from becoming a professional bull rider in the PRCA and PBR when I turned 18. Then I went to Vernon Regional Junior College on a bull riding scholarship. That is when the music came back. I learned to play guitar during my free time when I probably should have been doing something else. Surrounded by other aspiring musicians, I sharpened up on the skill. It was then that someone convinced me to record a CD with a few cover songs. That was all it took. It didn’t take long for me to fall in love with performing on stage. I played solo gigs around town with my acoustic guitar and quickly learned how to get things done on my own. I play my music now with a full band and I’m having the time of my life. My shows are influenced by my dad’s taste in music. There is something for everyone. I perform my own country originals, which have a small hint of Elton John and Garth Brooks influence, along with southern rock, classic rock, and country cover songs that other bands don’t attempt to play. My true love is writing and performing my own songs and my dream is to influence fans with a refreshing original performance and sound that they will always remember.
